Peace of mind for you and your family
Planning your funeral can help to ease the burden from your family at the moment when they are least able to cope, plus it provides reassurance that your funeral will be as you want it.
Concerns are often raised, particularly if family members do not wish to discuss it or there are no relatives to leave instructions with, and discussing your wishes with us will take the worry off you.
If preplanning your funeral is something you would like to do, please contact us and we will be able to assist you. There are two choices available to you
- Preplanned – having your wishes recorded (time of need fees will apply)
- Prepayment – having your wishes written down and paid for (securing today’s fees)
Our prepayment funeral plans are written to your wishes at our current local fees and can include as much or as little as you want, meaning the cost can be reduced to suit your budget if required and be very flexible.
Our funeral plans guarantee the funeral directors fees to be met in full at the time of need, according to the plan instructions and allow a contribution towards disbursements (doctors, cremation/burial and officiant fees). Disbursements are third party fees, which are out of our control therefore we cannot guarantee full fees will be covered.
If you decide to pay for a funeral at today’s prices, your money is safe. Our funeral plans are held with Golden Charter, we, Paul Bourton Funeral Service, are your appointed funeral director (if anything happened to us, Golden Charter would contact you to appoint another independent funeral director, but please note we do not intend to go anywhere! Equally if you move away your plan can be transferred to an independent funeral director in the area that you move to) and your money is invested in the Golden Charter Trust (a separate company with the sole purpose of ensuring secure and stable growth to the money in the fund).
Funeral plans can be paid by instalment over a 2-30 year period depending on your age, monthly figures can be provided on request.
There is no age limit to securing a pre-payment plan with us and no medical tests or declarations of good health.
If you wish to discuss a funeral plan or ask any questions, please contact us.
My wife, Janet, was diagnosed with a terminal illness some 12 months before her passing in January this year. We both spent many hours discussing her wishes with Stacey and putting in the plans for what she wanted. Her wishes were carried out to the letter Stacey is both a total professional and a true friend. I would not hesitate to recommend Paul Bourton Funeral service to anyone and I would not want anyone else looking after me when my time comes.
